POLSON, Mont. – Black Mountain Software, a Govineer solutions company, has announced their 23rd Annual Education Scholarship Awards for 2026. Graduates Peyton Benson from Bigfork High School and William Danielson from Glacier High School were recently awarded the company’s higher education scholarships. Both Peyton and William will receive $1000 each to continue their education.
Scholarship requirements
Black Mountain Software awards scholarships to graduating Montana high school seniors who will be attending an accredited institution of higher education, regardless of their field of study. This includes trade schools, technical schools, colleges, or universities. The scholarship application requires students to answer the following essay question:
”If you were given a team of developers to build one new piece of software (an app, a program, a game) that would make the world a more joyful, curious, or connected place, what would it be and why? Describe its core function and the problem it solves for its users.
Supporting continuing education and communities
Black Mountain Software supports continuing education for Montana youth through this annual scholarship essay competition. The company also contributes to the enrichment of people and communities in which we live and work through charitable activities, donations, and volunteerism.
